Information about European Environmental Law Seminar – 7-10 October 2013

The lectures intPentax Digital Cameraroduced the basics of European Law and European Environmental Law. Thus, students were familiarized with the the EU institutions and their main competences, with the different types of EU law and with the main procedures of how EU law is made. On matters of environmental law, the students learned about the basic principles of international and EU environmental law, as well as about general considerations whether or not to regulate behaviour or techniques in the area of environmental law. On a more detailed level, students discussed EU regulations on eco-design, eco-labelling, as well as the EMAS directive on environmental and sustainability standards for European enterprises.
