How to get to Nancy ?

The easiest way to come to Nancy is by train (« Nancy-center » Rail station or « Lorraine TGV » Rail Station) from Paris or Luxembourg, the two main cities with international airport close to Nancy (see the map below).

From Paris – Roissy Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) to Nancy

Option 1 (recommended): Via Lorraine RailStation : Total trip time is just under 2 hours and costs about 60€.

Paris, Charles de Gaulle Airport has three non-stop trains running to Lorraine daily. Thanks to the new high-speed TGV, Lorraine is just a little over an hour away, with TGV (high-speed) trains departing directly from the CDG 2 terminal.

Once in Lorraine, a convenient shuttle will take you into downtown Nancy for approximately 10€.

Option 2 : Via Paris Center

From the Charles de Gaulle Airport, take the line RER B – a train connecting the airport and Paris.The RER takes 30-45 minutes, depending on the number of stops, as they can be non-stop, 4-5 stops and also stopping everywhere. Getting from the terminal to the RER may take up to 30 minutes. To get to the RER, follow the signs ‘Trains to Paris, RER’. You need to buy a ticket (around 10€ one way) before you enter the train.

RER_B_CDGGet off the train at the Gare du Nord station and change for Metro line 4 (using the same ticket), direction Porte d’Orleans, and follow the directions. It is only 1 stop from the Gare de l’Est.

Metro_Gare_Est In Paris, go to the East Railway Station (Gare de l’Est). Take a direct high speed train (TGV) to Nancy. Direct trains from Paris Est to Nancy City take 90 minutes.
Tickets from Paris to Nancy: add another 30 minutes if to be bought in the booking office, otherwise, use the special ticket machines.

From Paris-Orly Airport, located south of Paris, to Nancy

Take the ORLYVAL shuttle and connect to RER north to the Gare du Nord. Get off the train at the Gare du Nord station and change for Metro line 4 (using the same ticket), direction Porte d’Orleans, and follow the directions. It is only 1 stop from the Gare de l’Est. (Estimated time: one hour; Estimated cost: € 10).

In Paris, go to the East Rail Station (Gare de l’Est). Take a direct high speed train (TGV) to Nancy. Direct trains from Paris Est to Nancy City take 90 minutes.

From Luxembourg airport
A shuttle from the airport leads to the railway station in downtown Luxembourg. Trains will bring you to Nancy (Estimated time: one hour. Do not forget to change in Metz if you don’t take a direct train to Nancy)

From Downtown Nancy (Rail Station) to Campus and to Apheen Residences

Take the tram (T1 Line) at the Nancy Gare stop (Rail Station) in the direction of Vandoeuvre CHU and get off at the stop Callot. The tram takes less than 15 minutes and runs approximately every 7-15 minutes during working hours.
